Dear Beloved, Hearers and Doers,
In the tenth Wellness Session the discussion will discuss the importance of loving your career and/or business. I will use the term profession to cover both areas; for those who have, or plan to have a business in the future. To be successful means I am doing what I love and loving what I do. Being successful is to make a positive impact with my clients, customers and community. Being successful is being profitable/increasing my income which means I have financial independence. To find what you love in your career and/or business. If is the people, or the task and how your helping the community with your profession.
Finding your ultimate goal in your profession. To reach where you want to go, you have to set boundaries. To not make to many commitments and not to say, "yes" to everything. Asking yourself will this use of my time get me closer to my goal? In making a decision, will the decision come back in a negative way. To move forward in business is to look at what you do have and use the most of those resources. Your experience, skills and loyalty to yourself to commit to what you said you were going to do. If it is a dream or vision to make it all come together. To have the ability to see your vision and describe it, so others can see it as well.
In progressing forward in your profession. This is the professional version of yourself. It is pulling everything together and forward for the next time. If there was a hiccup or stumble, what was the learning lesson and move forward from the lesson. Have the understanding of the process of learning. Also with the understanding that it takes time and hard work to build the best professional version of yourself.
You spend your life building your professional you from the time when your a little kid. Even when playing as a child. You begin to discover the things that you like and how you like to spend your time. You begin to imagine how you want your life to look. What you want to be what you grow up. Does your vision match your kid vision. Did you take detours or did you stay on the same path. Is the destination the same or were there detours and winds in the road on the journey?
Are you showing up how you want to be seen? If you stepped outside yourself; would you like what you see? Would you like what you hear and what you feel? Are you being positive, respectful and keeping commitments? (Example dates and times) Are you putting your best foot forward; are you doing things with your whole heart? (Example good work ethic) Do you maintain the same character and do you show up the same, in different areas of your life?
Self Reflection in the importance of loving your career and/or business
Is the destination the same or were there detours and winds in the road on the journey? Yes, still the same destination and there were detours and winds in the road that provided a better perspective to accomplish the goal.
Are you showing up how you want to be seen? I want to step out more and reach out especially after this time.
If you stepped outside yourself; would you like what you see? Yes, because I see growth.
Would you like what you hear and what you feel? I would hear and feel a calm.
Are you being positive, respectful and keeping commitments? Yes, I am seeing the bigger picture. Being respectful keeping commitments, so I don't have to go back and say sorry.
Are you putting your best foot forward; are you doing things with your whole heart? Yes, focused on the present future and future generations.
Do you maintain the same character and do you show up the same in different areas of your life? Yes I do.
