Hello Hearers, this study came about when I was asking my husband to rank me on a scale from 1 to 10 as a wife. I heard from other pastor wives that they asked their husbands this question. It is a very bold question and what if he told me I was a one? That would be a lot of work to do. My husband gave me a 10, which is nice to hear, but there are areas that I want to work on that I discovered while digging in my own heart. That could only be revealed by YAH (God) and Yahshua (Jesus).
After asking the question my husband brought up Ephesians 5. Most women are pointed in the direction of being a Proverbs 31 Woman, the foundation of this blog. Proverbs 31 is a mother telling her son what to look for in the character of a Wife. Do we tell our daughters, our nieces, little cousins, the next generation of women, what to look for and to notice in a husband?
Is this man looking at her heart? Does this man give her stirring in her heart? When he speaks is it from a pure soul and caring heart? Is he gentle enough to hold her heart in his hands and humble enough to lift her up to YAH and Yahshua with washing her with the water of scripture? Does he pray for her Spiritual and Physical health? Will he lead her to where she is blameless before Yahshua and YAH ? Is he a man after the goodness of YAH's own heart like David from the Bible? Does she respect this man without judgment and unconditional love? That is what a wife suppose to do is to honor her husband's word by respecting him so that he can lead and be the man that YAH and Yahshua have called him to be. To be a support and not a stumbling block. A place of peace and support.
