Scripture Read: Proverbs 31
There are many that don't realize or forget that Proverbs 31 are words of a mother teaching her son about a rare, precious, and great woman. Her first instruction is for her son the king to have righteous judgement and how to conduct himself as a man. Then she moves on to the instruction of what to look for in the right woman.
There is so much more than just what some would say as high expectations to be a righteous woman. As it speaks of the "Proverbs 31" woman and it refers to her husband also. As Proverbs 31 comes to a close, it tells us about how her children call her "Blessed", which is the greatest praise.
As mothers, we have to think of what we want to leave our children with; a bitter spirit, like a bad aftertaste. Or, with wisdom that will taste like a bite of the first fruit of a juicy peach that keeps giving. The mother teaches and gives direct examples of a great character and wisdom (only coming from God) to pass on to the next generations as Proverbs 31 has been given to us.
