The little black dress is one that every woman should own. You can dress it up or dress it down, depending on the function that you are attending.
In May 1926 Coco Chanel published a picture of a short simple black dress that appeared in the American Vogue. It was called by Vogue " Chanel's Ford "
1950's Dior introduced a LBD "New Look" of sexual conservatism and to symbolize the dangerous woman. 1960's A mini skirt version of the LBD became popular with cut outs and slits with netting or tulle. 1980's The LBD Made a come back in Vogue. It became popular with the fitness craze and added broad shoulders. 1990's Grunge Culture wore the LBD with combat boots and sandals. 2000's The reemergence of black and the LBD is more popular than ever.
